Start with the status Meoz displays. A timer, browser permission and AI connection are separate parts of the focus experience.

Guardian cannot read the browser

For Meoz 1.1.333 on macOS, during an active Focus phase. A browser-read error is different from an AI-provider error; changing keys will not grant browser access.

  • Open Settings → Privacy & Permissions and follow the guidance for the browser you are using.
  • Check the relevant macOS Privacy & Security permission. Accessibility and browser Automation are separate permissions.
  • Return to an ordinary webpage and check the status again.
  • If macOS shows Accessibility enabled but Meoz reports it unavailable, follow the stale-grant guidance: in macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, turn Meoz's entry off and back on, then reopen Meoz when normal quitting is allowed. Do not force-quit to bypass a lock; contact support if recovery is blocked.

Expected result: Meoz can read the current page and no longer reports the access error. If the error remains, report the browser name, macOS and Meoz versions and exact status to support. Do not enable Screen Recording or look for an OCR fallback to fix Guardian; browser judging does not use screenshots. Missing browser access does not itself end your focus session or remove an active lock.

Contact support if the access error persists; do not include credentials or private page contents.

AI is not ready or a request fails

For Meoz 1.1.333 on macOS. Open Settings → General & AI → AI Provider and check the selected provider. Follow the BYOK, Local or Pro setup steps for that provider, including Save API Key for a key draft. A Pro entitlement does not supply a key for another selected provider.

For a missing-key message, save a key for that provider or select activated Meoz Pro. For an unsupported provider or missing-model message, select an available provider or model where offered. For a network, quota or provider error, use the error's recovery guidance and retry when access is restored; saving the same key repeatedly does not prove the service works. With a session in Focus and a readable page, check that the AI error clears. If it persists, contact support with the exact error and provider name.

Do not post API keys, license keys or sign-in codes in screenshots or support messages. A temporary connection failure is not the same as an expired subscription.

A website stays blocked during a break

For Meoz 1.1.333 on macOS, on either plan. Open Settings → Custom Focus Rules and check Network Blocker separately. It can remain active while Guardian is paused. If you want to remove its restriction, disable it through Meoz and complete any required macOS administrator authorization. Check the result rather than assuming cancellation removed the block. An app-level allow entry does not override network blocking. Follow the blocking guide; if access is still blocked, report the error rather than deleting system files.

Pro activation needs attention

For Meoz 1.1.333 on macOS. Open the account card in Settings → Meoz Pro & Account. Use the email associated with your Pro purchase or trial and follow activation and recovery steps. For a device-limit message, use device management, free an unused slot and retry. Check the activation status after retrying. Do not purchase again solely because a request timed out.

Ask for help

For Meoz 1.1.333 on macOS, open Settings → Focus Sessions → Overview → Troubleshooting → Guardian Status. Open log opens the local judgement log. Do not send the whole log by default; it can contain more context than an error report.

  • Select Export report…, then choose Error log range covering the incident.
  • Start with Technical details only under Report details. Even this option includes the affected site host; review it before sharing.
  • Include page title and focus goal adds those potentially private details. Full support bundle (sensitive) adds further context; read the sheet before choosing it and share only what you intend.
  • Choose Choose Save Location…, save the file and inspect it. Exporting creates a local file; it does not send the report to support. Send it through your chosen support channel only after review.

If no matching events are available, record the exact error and incident time for support; selecting a longer period does not guarantee older events exist. Credentials are excluded by the export, but page, goal and site information can still be sensitive. Never paste keys or sign-in codes into an explanation.

AI request activity in the same panel counts attempts, including failed connections and chat requests. Refresh counts updates the display; Reset counts starts a new counting window. These counts do not prove provider receipt or billing, and resetting them does not fix a connection or reset Guardian.

Contact support with your Meoz version, macOS version, browser, exact error and short steps to reproduce it. Review any diagnostic report before sharing; remove sensitive information.

Task done, but the timer is still running

For Meoz 1.1.333 on macOS. Completing a linked task clears the current goal, not the session or Focus/Break cycle. Use Choose Next Goal to continue with another task or goal. If you are finished working, choose End This Session and confirm when available. A lock may prevent early ending; completing a task does not bypass it. See task and goal behavior.

The instructions do not match my app

These guides cover Meoz 1.1.333 on macOS. Check your installed version and app language before following a different label. Do not assume a newer release, Windows build or unsupported browser has the same controls. Contact support with the version and exact mismatch; the docs do not establish undocumented features, minimum local-model hardware, secret recovery methods or internal Guardian thresholds.

Choose the right browser permission

For Meoz 1.1.333 on macOS, open Settings → Privacy & Permissions. Safari and compatible Chrome-family browsers use Automation for the particular browser. Firefox, Tor and LibreWolf use Accessibility. Granting one does not grant the other; a successful Safari read does not prove Firefox access works.

Follow the browser-specific permission action, return to a normal webpage in that browser during Focus, and check the status again. A checked macOS switch can still be stale; use the Accessibility recovery above if Meoz reports it unavailable. If access is granted but a particular page stays unreadable, report that distinction rather than repeatedly changing AI keys. No Screen Recording permission is needed for Guardian browser judging.

Match an AI error to its recovery

For Meoz 1.1.333 on macOS, read the provider name and exact error shown by Guardian before changing settings.

  • Missing key, provider or model: use Settings → General & AI → AI Provider and repair the selected configuration. A saved key for another provider is not enough.
  • Provider limit or quota: check your provider's available access or credit and follow the displayed retry guidance. Switching to Pro is optional, not a fix for every service outage.
  • Network unavailable or timeout: restore the connection and watch the status. Do not buy another subscription or repeatedly replace a key merely because the connection failed.
  • Secure connection or certificate error: check the Mac's date/time and network environment. If a managed VPN or security policy is involved, ask its administrator; do not disable certificate validation or weaken security to make the request work.
  • Pro verification temporarily unavailable: retry using the account controls or displayed guidance. This is different from confirmed expiry; renew only when the account status establishes that it is needed.

Check that the error clears on a readable page during Focus. If it persists, record the exact message and use the report flow above. A continuing timer does not prove that an AI request succeeded.
