Use Journal & Daily Log to capture notes and review your day. Use Workspace & Hub to understand where the files are stored.
Choose a note style
Open Journal & Daily Log from the Meoz menu. Choose Daily Log for structured sections or Monolithic Note for a freeform Markdown note. The template menu offers other templates and a custom-template builder.
Use Today or the calendar to visit a date. Check the save status before closing or switching away; you can also use Save Entry where shown.
Review what you accomplished
Today's summary brings together focus activity and tasks. You can add a task for today or complete a pending task from this view. To undo a completed task, use the explicit Restore action rather than its completion mark.
Past dates show the work recorded for that day. These summaries are not a claim that an unattended timer was productive work.
Choose Markdown or an encrypted vault
Daily Markdown Notes are plain files you can open with a text editor. An Encrypted Vault is a separate, password-protected choice. Use the vault selector to create or open a vault and check which one is active before writing.
Protect your vault password and keep backups. An encrypted journal does not encrypt ordinary Markdown notes, tasks or every other file in the workspace.
Check your workspace location
Open Settings → Workspace & Hub and use Reveal in Finder. Meoz can choose iCloud Drive as its default workspace when available, or use a local Documents folder otherwise.
Files in iCloud Drive or another synced folder may be copied by that service. Sync is not the same as a backup, and it does not turn plain notes into encrypted vaults. External linked vaults may live outside the main workspace.
Move or switch carefully
For Meoz 1.1.333 on macOS. Before changing folders, save your work and back up both the current workspace and any existing destination. Check external linked vaults separately; they may be outside the workspace.
- Open Settings → Workspace & Hub → Change Location and select the destination folder.
- If Meoz finds an existing workspace, Use Existing Workspace opens its data without copying the current workspace into it. Move Current Data Here copies current data into that destination and can replace matching destination data; it is not a merge.
- For a new folder, Move Current Data carries current workspace data there. Start Clean Workspace switches without copying current data. Cancel leaves the selection unapplied.
- After a successful operation, check the displayed path, use Reveal in Finder and inspect your tasks, history and active vault before removing any backup or old folder.
Changing location is unavailable during Commitment Lock or a current Session Lock in this version. Wait for the applicable lock to end. If the operation reports a failure, do not assume it fully rolled back or remove either folder: preserve your backups and contact support with the error. There is no separate Overwrite button in this flow.
Contact support with the Meoz version and error message; avoid sending workspace contents or vault passwords.
