# Understand your progress and streak

Read focus metrics accurately and see how freezes protect your streak.

For Meoz 1.1.334 · macOS

Open **Analytics** to review focus activity, streaks and Guardian interventions. Use the date range and its displayed dates to understand what you are comparing.

## Read focus time honestly

**Verified focus reflects observed engagement** during focus periods. A timer running while the Mac sleeps or you are away is not equivalent to that amount of focused work.

Completed Focus phases and focus duration are different measures. You can accumulate focus time before a phase is complete. Guardian interventions count actions taken by Meoz; they do not prove you returned to work.

## Understand your streak

A day needs qualifying verified focus to add a point. Flex work can count too. The current day is not treated as missed while it is still underway.

A day your schedule does not require can pass without breaking the streak. Qualifying work on that day can still add a point. Changing the schedule does not retroactively turn earlier missed days into successes.

## What a freeze does

An available freeze protects continuity on a missed required day. It holds the streak at its current count; the **frozen day adds no point** and does not help earn another freeze.

Without a freeze, a completed required day without qualifying focus resets the current streak.

After updating from an older version that counted frozen days, the displayed streak or personal best may be lower. This does not mean the underlying focus records were deleted.

## Separate estimates from measurements

Estimated avoided time is an estimate of distraction time that might have been avoided. It is **not measured focus time or guaranteed productivity gained**.

Use the metric explanations in **Analytics** and the selected date range when comparing results. For a useful daily review alongside your notes, open [Journal & Daily Log](/docs/journal-and-storage).
